Waid ResidenceLocation: Tahoe Vista, California
Project Type: New Lakefront Residential Project Architect: JLS Design Contractor: Loverde Builders Represented client in diligence through site verifications, design and permitting of a new residence to final inspection. Project included establishing an alternate building site under IPES wit TRPA for this vacant, split-lakefront parcel. Currently coordinating with clients to permit a multi-use pier in conjunction with neighbor. "We worked with Wyatt and Ogilvy Land Use & Development Strategies from inception in 2009 through 2014 when our home, built on a rocky slope on the western outskirts of Tahoe Vista, CA was completed. Ours was an extremely complex permitting and construction project that required an intimate understanding of the myriad regulations that had to be met in order to achieve our desired end result. Every aspect of TRPA and Placer County regulations came into play and had to be dealt with in adapting our plans to the site: IPES determination, excavation, height limits, scenic considerations, guest house limitations, special fire department requirements, etc. Wyatt was instrumental in all of these aspects.
Coming from out of state we were unfamiliar and totally blindsided by the regulatory atmosphere in California. Wyatt was able to navigate through the maze, interface with the various agencies, and get approvals for our project in an efficient, cost effective, and timely manner, all the time interfacing throughout the entire process with the us, the building contractor, and the architect, as a member of the project team. We did not start making real progress on our project until the day we hired him. Wyatt supplied us with advice and strategy in our planning efforts and served us in an efficient, cost effective, responsive, and timely manner. I can say without hesitation that without the involvement of Ogilvy Land Use & Development Strategies our home, which we love, would never have successfully been completed." -John M. Waid, Client |
